Rachel Cohen, MSN, RN, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife at Raveco Medical in Queens, New York, with locations in Forest Hills, Jackson Heights, and Woodside. Rachel has extensive clinical experience in the labor and delivery setting.
Rachel completed a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and communications at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, where she graduated cum laude and received the Theodore A. Harris Foundation Prize for Excellence in English Literature. She then went on to complete an accelerated Bachelor of Science in nursing at Lehman College in the Bronx, New York, and graduated summa cum laude. Rachel furthered her education with a Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky.
Rachel began her career as a birth doula in New York, helping women throughout their pregnancy journey prenatally, at birth, and postpartum for over six years. Since 2015, she has worked as a registered nurse at New York University Langone Medical Center, a magnet-certified facility with over 6,000 deliveries a year, caring for patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and providing nursing care and labor support to patients during labor and childbirth.
Rachel is affiliated with the Orthodox Jewish Nursing Association and NYC Midwives. She is fluent in both German and Hebrew.
