The HPV Vaccine protects against certain strains of the Human Papillomavirus that are linked to cervical cancer. It is recommended that girls ages 11-26 and boys ages 11-21 be administered the vaccine. The full vaccine is three injections administered over a 6 month period.

For your mammogram: do not use body powder, cream, deodorant, or lotion on your chest the day of the test. These substances may interfere with the X-rays.You will be asked to stand in front of an X-ray machine. The mammography technologist will place your breast between two radiographic breast supports. The supports will be pressed together, gently flattening the breast. This may cause discomfort and it is recommended that if you are sensitive that you take advil or ibuprofen.
A mammogram is an x-ray image take of the breast. This exam is used to screen for breast cancer and other abnormalities. It is recommended that women 40 or older receive regular mammograms (at least once every year to two years). If you have had prior breast abnormalities or have a family history of breast cancer it is recommended that you undergo more frequent mammograms.
