About Me
Dr. Ravins completed his bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry and a minor in physics at the University of Denver in Colorado. He then went on to earn his medical degree at Rosalind Franklin University, formerly known as Chicago Medical School in Illinois. He then continued his training with residencies in general surgery and anesthesiology at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Downtown Hospital.
Alongside his medical career, Dr. Ravins has engaged in several successful business ventures, including starting Idealpath, Inc. in 1999, a business-to-business e-commerce utility, and KERISMA, Inc., which focused on the production of Brachytherapy applicators. He also has five patents issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office pertaining to the KERISMA Interstitial Brachytherapy applicator and seed cartridge for the treatment of prostate cancer. In addition, he has been the Director of Marketing and Product Development for Amaxza Digital since 2015.
Dr. Ravins has hospital privileges at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, New York, and is affiliated with Long Island Jewish Forest Hills in Queens, New York. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
